NPP borrowing to feed Elephant family-Ade Coker

The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ade Coker has accused the Government of Nana Akufo-Addo of engaging in excessive borrowing to feed the “not ever satisfying elephant family”, whilst majority of Ghanaians go through hardships.

According to him, Ghana under the watch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is full of massive corruption, job loses, collapse of banks, chaos, intimidations, increasing taxes, and excessive borrowing.

Speaking at the opening of the 9th National Delegates Congress of the NDC at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra, Mr. Ade Coker said that Ghanaians had now realized their mistake by voting for the NPP and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“Those who said NDC government was not doing well and voted against us are now crying in the face of emptiness, insensitivity and despondency. Indeed, Ghanaians want NDC back”.

Charging the over 9,000 national delegates to vote for a more competence, committed and selfless national leaders who could bring the NDC back to power, Mr. Coker expressed disappointment at how the ruling government had abandoned important infrastructural projects initiated by the Mahama’s administration.

He specifically made references to the Maritime Hospital and the University of Ghana Medical Centre, which he indicated had been left unattended to.

The Greater Accra NDC Chairman said importers in Ghana are now paying taxes far in excess of the value of good they import.

He took the NPP on for his failed promises to Ghanaians including the one district one factory, one village one dam, one constituency one million dollars and many more.
