John Mahama Leaves NDC Congress to Visit Accident Victims

The Former President and Aspiring Presidential Candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has left the party’s ongoing National Delegates Congress abruptly to visit the delegates who were involved in an accident around the El-WAK stadium. 

No death was recorded. Mr. Mahama few minutes after delivering his speech at the Congress sought the permission of the over 9,000 national delegates to go and visit the accident victims. He left with the former Chief of Staff, Julius Debra. 

The Founder of the NDC, Jerry John Rawlings also left the grounds immediately after his unusual short speech.
About 15 of the delegates who were being transported from Kingsbi in Achimota to the Trade Fair Centre, were involved in an accident, and were rushed to Ridge Hospital for treatment.

The injured delegates comprised of two Constituency executives at Mpraeso in the Eastern Region including the constituency Secretary Osei Bonsu also Known as Ato Plans. 

According to him, the Vehicle failed break therefore the driver who is also a delegate attempted to avoid ramming into fleets of Vehicles at the traffic light veered off the road and run into a ditch.
