How Social Media “courts” rule against NDC’s GHc420k filing fee

Thousands of Social Media Commentators have descended heavily on the National Executives of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for being irresponsible in their decision to compel flagbearer aspirants for 2020 election to cough GHC420,000 as filing fee within 10 days.
According to majority of comments monitored by WatchGhana.Com from several social media platforms and mainstream media especially radio and online portals, the NDC executives are being influenced by the Former President, John Dramani Mahama to raise the fee high above average in order to prevent the less endowed aspirants from contesting him.
Many of them believe that the fee is a recipe for corruption and looting of state coffers if any of the aspirants come to power.

Author: Ayalolo; “It is the responsibility of the party to raise funds for cost of primaries, the candidates shouldn't have to bear the cost of the primaries. Registration fees should be minimal and not more than 100K. Of course, Asiedu has amassed ill gotten wealth so sees 400K as chum change. The amount seems very arbitrary -- it sounds more like a way to eliminate candidates which is not good for democracy”.

Author: King Solomon; “Ayalolo God bless you. Ndc is never a democratic political party. All the the so called New national executives are Mahama robots. That 400.000 cedi's fee is a brain work of crook mahama. Indeed ndc is a bunch of jokers”.

On the contrary Mahama is also not an alternative, he is weak, arrogant, stupid, greedy, womanizer, drunken, and very corrupt. Ghana does not need a leader who will be shearing money ???? on the street because he wants people to vote for him, Ghana needs a competent and a selfless leader who will take us into the future, we need someone with ideas, someone who can bring back the mentality of black employment, we as black people should know that the white man is not there to see us prosper, the very day we Start trusting in ourselves, our prosperity will begin!!! God bless Ghana”. 

Meanwhile, the Campaign Coordinator for Prof Joshua Alabi, aspiring flagbearer of the party, Nii Amassah Namoale is calling on all the flagbearer aspirants to reject the GHS400,000 filing fee being charged by the party. He describes the amount as “outrageous”.
