MASLOC Deputy CEO urges TESCON to renew commitment to retain NPP

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) of MASLOC, Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah has expressed the need for TESCON members across Ghana to renew their commitment and step up their efforts to retain the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in power come 2020 general elections.

According to the 2020 aspiring parliamentary candidate for Yendi constituency, the role of TESCON cannot be underestimated and thus urged the members to resume full responsibility of propagating the good policies and programmes of the NPP government to the masses for another victory in 2020.

In a very inspiring speech delivered at the official inauguration of the new TESCON executives for Yendi College of Health Sciences at the weekend, Hajia Abibata acknowledged TESCON as a very powerful political force which worked selflessly with the party structures to stop the eight (8) years of economic mismanagement, rampant corruption and incompetent administration of John Dramani Mahama and NDC in the 2016.

“Since its inauguration on January 8, 2000 by venerable John Agyekum Kufuor, the distinguished former President of the Republic of Ghana, TESCON has remained a formidable force in our political dispensation, and has been at the forefront of student and political activism, and grassroot mobilization”. The former TESCON member said what the NPP crucially needs going into election 2020 is the unwavering commitment, enthusiasm, energy and the dynamism of its young and intelligent people in particular to enable the party stay in power and secure a better future for Ghana. Hajia Abibata who pledged her unremitting support for the Yendi TESCON after donating an amount of One Thousand Ghana cedis (GHC1,000) to support the newly elected executives to run an effective administration said the Confederacy has the capacity to go all out to engage and explain to the masses all the good policies, programmes and achievements of the NPP and its set vision for the nation. “As an intellectual wing of the New Patriotic Party I urge you to develop the courage of doing adequate research about government policies and projects in order to communicate same to the ordinary people in our various communities such that they will keep faith with government”. She commended the Northern Regional TESCON Coordinator “for doing everything humanly possible to get the Yendi College of Health Sciences a workable and proactive TESCON, which will contribute its quota efficaciously to the betterment of the Yendi constituency NPP and mother Ghana as a whole”.

The inaugural ceremony was under the theme: “TESCON, Strengthening the Grassroots for 2020 and beyond” which according to Hajia Abibata explains the readiness of TESCON to consolidate the victory it selflessly helped the NPP to record in the 2016 general elections. Urging the TESCON members to be motivated by their motor: “Commitment without inducement but with little motivation”, Hajia Abibata assured that the party leaders, the Government and its appointees would support them in any possible ways to complement their efforts, and help build their capacity for the future tasks ahead of them after school. She reminded them of the numerous opportunities made available by the NPP government for the unemployed youth, and encouraged them to seek information about where and how they could access those opportunities to better their lives. Hajia Abibata who is seeking to be the first ever female MP to represent the Yendi Constituency in Parliament said the NPP was going to retain the Yendi seat and also retain political power in the 2020 polls for an accelerated national development.
