The Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr has revealed that about 79 of the One District One Factory (1D1F) projects promised by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government are at different levels of completion.
According to him, the ruling government was doing very well with the 1D1F policy but blamed the incessant attacks from a section of Ghanaians on the inability of the government to properly communicate their success to the masses.
Speaking on Accra-based Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo' programme on Wednesday, Mr. Baako said very soon Ghanaians would begin to witness the work done so far by the Government.

"They are doing a lot but communication relating to that flagship project is relatively weak. They need to take a critical look at that . . . where there are challenges, make it known; I don't think there is any government out there that is perfect; whether in Ghana or outside Ghana, no government is infallible," he said.

"If you give a timeline to do something and you are not able to deliver, you don't feel shy to admit that yes I missed the timeline; but these are the things I have done and how far I have come . . . so that they know you are delivering or intends to deliver . . . so far almost 79 are at various stages of completion and so they need to communicate well. Let people get the message," he urged.

According to him, "there will definitely be a school of thought that will remain skeptical that it's okay . . . but the truth is that if you do a good packaging, gradually, it aggregates more support."
