The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Command is taking bold steps to fish out all the perpetrators of the gruesome murders being recorded in some parts of the region in recent times.

Chief Inspector Augustine Kingsley Oppong, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Police Public Relations Officer told our correspondent in the region that the police were prepared to go after those murderers to face the full rigours of the law.

He disclosed that on March 23, the body of one Kwasi Bright 18, was found in a pool of blood at Dormaa-Ahenkro.

There was a deep cut on his forehead, and the body has since been deposited at the Dormaa-Ahenkro Presbyterian hospital mortuary and no arrest has since been made.

On March 7, the police arrested Abubakari Sadick in connection with the murder of Kofi Asante 48, in Kintampo and had since been placed in prison custody.

The suspect with three other accomplices who are on the run brutally assaulted the deceased who died on arrival at the regional hospital in Sunyani and his body had since been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary as investigations continued.

On April 5, a body of a-35-year-old young woman was also discovered in a valley at Nyamebekyere Nkwanta near Akumsa-Dumase in the Nkoranza Municipality.

There was a deep cut on the decease throat and cement block placed on the chest and the police had deposited the body at the Nkoranza St Theresa’s hospital mortuary.

The Police PRO therefore appealed for reliable information from the general public to arrest and prosecute the murderers.
