Over-speeding private driver escapes death on Nkrumah Circle interchange

A private driver narrowly escaped death yesterday as his red Suzuki car somersault several times on the flyover of the Kwame Nkrumah Circle interchange near the Neoplan Station.

The driver who was alone in the car sustained several degrees of injuries.

The incident happened around 3 oâ€™clock when the unregistered Suzuki red car with a provisional number plate, DP 609A was heading from Nima road to Awudome.

An eye witness Isaac Boakye in an interview with WatchGhana.Com said the incident happened as a result of over speeding.

At the time our reporter got to the scene, the driver had been rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment. 

The accident caused a substantial traffic on the road, but an intervention by one military man who stopped along the way and directed the traffic saved the situation.
The police later arrived at the scene with a towing vehicle to tow the damaged vehicle.
