A/R: Two drown in “Tweaa” DCE's fish pond

Two people have drowned in a fish pond belonging to the former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South in the Ashanti Region, Gabriel Barimah popularly known as 'Tweaa DCE'.

The incident happened on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Biemso No1 when the former DCE accompanied the deceased and six other people to fish in his pond.

The deceased, Salam Abdulai, 32 and Majid Abdulai, 37 were said to have gone to the deeper part of the pond upon dragging the net and however, got drowned.

Hon. Joseph Agyemang Dapaah, current District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South East who visited the scene told WatchGhana.Com Regional Correspondent that the two were rescued dead from the fish pond.

He said their remains have since been deposited at the Mankranso Government Hospital morgue.
The Police have, however, commenced investigations into the incident.
