The Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has inarguably become a major thorn in the flesh of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following her strong stance in pursuing the alleged fire and kidnapping cases involving the National Chairman of the opposition party, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo. The NDC threw a BOMBSHELL Thursday May 9, 2019 when their apparent concealed grand plan targeting the CID Boss as the first security officer to be fired from office in an event that the NDC wins power in the next election, was revealed. The Communications Director of the opposition NDC, Mr. Sammy Gyamfi sent a strong notice to the CID Boss, Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah to start counting her days in office. To the NDC’s chief spokesperson, Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah did not deserve to be in police uniform since she had proven her allegiance to the ruling NPP and had consistently been doing their bids rather than maintaining a balance, professionalism and neutrality. The Communications Director of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi in a live studio discussion on Adom TV’s Badwam show with Omanhene Kwabena Asante monitored by WatchGhana.Com said “Maame Tiwaa came to meet NDC and she will go and leave NDC behind, but the only thing she has succeeded in doing is trying to cut her career as a police woman short-because she has demonstrated that she is not serving Ghana but the NPPâ€. Mr. Sammy Gyamfi emphatically stated that “the very day Nana Addo would leave the presidency, Maame Tiwaa would also leave on that same day. Saying, "No NDC government will entertain her. I am serving a notice. Her entry into the Police College to become a senior police officer was obtained under NDC governmentâ€. He therefore dared the CID Boss to go arrest Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, if she feels that she has the ultimate power to do so. The NDC Communications Director emphasized that the party Chairman per the position of the NDC would not honour the CID’s invitation. “The fact that NDC has respect for the laws of the land, does not mean we can be intimidated. Enough is enough! Was it not Tiwaa who called the Press and informed the world that the Police have information about the whereabouts of the three missing Takoradi girls, so why must she call Ofosu-Ampofo to come and answer about where those girls are? And for the fire outbreaks in the various markets, we all know that those markets are old and outdated,†he indicated. Meanwhile, Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo is being accused as a suspected protagonist in the inexplicable fire outbreaks and the precarious kidnappings of innocent Ghanaians in the country. A letter from the Police CID inviting the NDC National Chairman, Ofosu Ampofo stated that “some persons picked up for interrogation and investigation have mentioned your name as part of a grand scheme designed to cause fear and panic in the country.†As a result, the CID officials have summoned Mr. Ofosu Ampofo to report at the CID headquarters today, Thursday, May 9, at 2:00 pm.Source: WatchGhana.Com
