Business booms for hotels as Nana Addo tours Savannah, North East Regions

WatchGhana.Com has learnt business is booming for the hospitality industry in the Savannah and North East Regions, following the four days’ official tour by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. There are serious accommodation challenges in the newly created regions in the last few days.

Our Northern Regional Correspondent, Akyereba Kwabena who is following the President and his entourage on the tour reports that all hotels and quest houses are fully booked while other strangers are still struggling for lodging place. Others are also believed to have perched camp in Tamale, the Northern Regional capital. 

The Northern Regional Police Command led by COP Timothy Yoosa Bonga has deployed heavy security personnel to ensure the safety of the President and his entourage.
The President’s tour begins from the North East Region as follows:

President Akufo-Addo will move in to the North East region on Thursday May 16th, 2019.

A durbar of Chiefs and people of Nalerigu at Nayiri Naa Bohugu Abdulai Mahami Sheriga’s palace in Nalerigu. Inspection of water project, visit to the proposed site for the contruction of the Regional Coordinating Council at Nalerigu, a brief stop at Sakogu to commission a Community Day Senior High School. There will also an interaction with tutors and students of Nakpanduri SHS where he will also commission a 120-bed capacity dormitory. 

President Akufo-Addo will also cut sod cutting for the construction of town roads in Bunkpurugu, a durbar with the Chiefs and people of Chereponi among others.
