4 deprived farming communities receive support from Heached International

Heached International, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) in collaboration with the Mosites Construction Company in Pittsburg has supported four farming communities in the Eastern, Northern and Ashanti Regions with farm clothing and footwear to enhance their farming activities.

The initiative, which targets the most deprived communities in Ghana towards poverty alleviation and empowerment of deprived farmers, is to enhance food security and economic development in the rural areas.
Each of the four communities received over 40 bales of farm clothing and footwear for farming.

The beneficiary farming communities include; Manso Atwere in the Ashanti Region, Tumu in the Upper West Region and Anum Apapam in the Eastern Region.

The leader of Heached International, Mr. Ernest Anguah at short presentation ceremony held at Anum Apapam in the Ayensuano District of the Eastern Region, said the nations' rural areas contribute significantly to its development, but they
are the most marginalized.

He said those communities needed more support to improve their farming activities.

Mr Anguah noted that, the gesture which he begun four years ago with his wife would continue, and he hoped that other NGOs would support the vision. He strongly refuted false claims by some Ghanaians that he only solicit for those supports or funds from the USA for personal gains.

The Nkonguahene of Anum Apapam, Nana Osei Agyei on behalf of the Chief and people, expressed gratitude to Mr Anguah and the Heached International for the gesture.

He ceased the opportunity to raise awareness on the deplorable condition of the Anum Asamankese road and the inadequate logistics and human resource at the Anum Apapam CHPS Compound.
