NDC, Mahama behind Badu Kobi’s attack on Ashanti, Fanti, Ewe women- NPP activist

A leading Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ahafo Region, Mr. Adutwum Gyimah has said that the irresponsible ethnocentrical outburst of Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi “is a deliberate act to attack the support base of the NPP and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo”.

According to him, prior to 2016 elections, the same Badu Kobi, whom he described as “an NDC party activist turned Prophet” was all over the media prophesying falsely that His Excellency President Akufo-Addo who was then the flagbearer for the NPP “could never be President because of a curse on him”.

Speaking to WatchGhana.Com in Accra, Mr. Gyimah said Prophet Badu Kobi’s outpouring was not just an expression of tribal sentiment but carries serious politically connotation, of which only people with good political spectacles could discover.

The onetime Ahafo Regional NPP Chairman aspirant alleged that “it is all because the Ewe, Fante, Ashanti women in 2016 decided that for the sake of their children and the future of this country, they would vote massively for the then cursed not to be President [according to Badu Kobi], Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to become President”.

Eventually, by the hard work of these women from these three tribes and other equal minded Ghanaian women including those in Badu Kobi’s church, their campaign gave a resounding one touch victory with an unprecedented margin of 1.5 million votes to proclaim Nana Addo as president.

Mr. Gyimah noted that, the pain of Prophet Badu Kobi and his hatred for the women of Ashanti, Ewe and Fante came out of the hard work of those women that led to his prophecy about Nana Addo being false. 

“After this victory and the good policies and programmes being churned out by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and NPP government, it is becoming clear that the NPP is likely to rule for more than two terms due to the success of our programmes such as Free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs, One Village One Dam, One District One Factory, the digitization of Ghana’s economy, NABCO etc”.

 

“As a result of this, it is not out of place that the NDC including their flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama and Badu Kobi had met and decided that these hardworking women who campaigned for the purpose driven Akufo-Addo government should be attacked and denigrated in the public place and cast aspersions to make them look inferior and wicked in the eyes of society”.

Mr. Gyimah said that the NDC and its apparatchiks were noted for attacks of such nature, and he was therefore not surprised about Prophet Kobi’s outburst that had led to a lot of uproars in the Ashanti, Volta, Oti, Central, Western and Ahafo regions.

He said that the former President, John Mahama described “the whole parliament as baloney, and even went ahead to describe Ashantis as ungrateful and indicated that even if Kumasi roads were plated with gold they will still be ungrateful”.

He asserted that, Prophet Badu Kobi in trying to advance his political hatred for Nana Addo had consistently launched scathing or contemptuous attacks on the President, and condemning almost every good policies and programmes of this current government.

“So it is only right for John Mahama to meet with Badu Kobi and plan this attack on the hardworking Ashanti women, the lovely Ewe and Fanti ladies, who at any time would vote for Nana Addo”.     

Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi launched a contemptuous attack on Ashanti women, describing them as greedy and problematic persons, who are only interested in material things in marriage.

He also described Fante women are foolish and Ewe women as timid and dormant.

"When you marry an Ashanti lady, you have imported trouble upon yourself, they are greedy. I will not mince words, I have done a research over the years to come to this conclusion" the prophet said.

He continued: "Though Fante women sometimes are foolish, but Ashanti women? No!"

"Ayibe (Ewe) women are too much dormant but Ashantis, they are greedy."
