Two EC Returning Officers Crushed To Death in an Accident

Two Returning Officers of the Electoral Commission on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 met their untimely death on the Sunyani-Techiman through a motor accident.

The two lost their lives when a Nissan Sentra salon car with registration number GC 4887-09 and a Tipper truck with registration number BA 730-12 had a head-on collision at Yawhima, a suburb of Sunyani.

According to eye-witnesses, the tipper truck loaded with quarry materials was from Wenchi heading towards Sunyani, while the Nissan Sentra car with three passengers including the driver was heading to Wenchi.

Both deceased are Educationists who were returning from Sunyani after a meeting at the Brong-Ahafo Electoral Commission's office in Sunyani 

Mr. David Adu-Damoah, Assistant Headmaster of Wenchi Senior High School and Mr. Atta Bise, a circuit supervisor at the Wenchi circuit reportedly died on the spot, whilst the other passenger was rushed to the Regional hospital, receiving intensive medical attention.

However, the driver of the tipper truck and his mate are yet to be found as they were nowhere to be found immediately after the accident.
