UWR: Former Jirapa DCE to contest for regional secretary

A fire brand of the NDC and former DCE for Jirapa Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah has shown his interest  to contest in the coming regional elections of the party.

In a goodwill message by his team sighted by WatchGhana.com, the young politician thanked his party faithfuls for a successful branch and constituency elections and called on delegates to consider him as a better choice for the party to make 2020 elections a reality.

Cletus Dapilah who is best described as a grass root politician was the constituency secretary of Jirapa till his appointment as the DCE where he served to the admiration of his district and nicked named ‘man of the people' as he was described as unbiased in his duties.

With vast experience in party politics, he is also known for his better understanding of party issues and has been appointed on several committees to steer party affairs here in the region and beyond.

Amongst the populace of Jirapa, he is said to have propelled the fortunes of Dr. Francis Bawaana Dakurah back to Parliament as the independent candidate was tougher at the time of the 2016 election and the NDC can brag of a significant increase in votes for JD Mahama in that election.

In the statement, the team called on the delegate to consider an experienced secretary and a charismatic force to strategically put the NDC party back to government.

‘With many people contesting this position, it is important we consider one who is tried and tested in all fronts, one with enviable charisma' it added.

Hon. Cletus who is a very popular communicator of the party is currently receiving some endowments by the grassroots across the political enclave of his party in the region.
