A/R: KIA truck driver murdered

A 37-year-old KIA truck driver has been murdered by an unknown assailants at Twenease near Trede in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti region.

Kojo Boahen's decaying body was found Wednesday, May 15, 2019 after he got missing last Thursday.
The deceased who was a driver of a KIA truck with registration number AS 6608-18 is said to have been hired by two people- a male and a female to ferry their oranges from Twenease.

He did not return, according to the deceased's car owner, Ernest Akwasi Amoah. He said his late employee informed him of being hired by the two before leaving home but never returned.

Uncle to the deceased, Nana Yaw Domfe told WatchGhana.Com Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Elisha Adarkwah that official report was lodged at the police station when Boahen did not return home.

He said announcement and a search was conducted for his whereabouts which led to the discovery of his lifeless body later at Twenease. But, the KIA truck is yet to be found.

The deceased family suspects a foul play in Boahen's death, and have threatened to seek justice for him through spiritual means.

The body has since been deposited at the Dominase Government Hospital awaiting autopsy.
Police have, however, commenced investigations into the case.
