"I have passion to serve my people" Dr. Vitalis Mwinyuri

A public health development expect of the Nadowli-Kaleo constituency has expressed his desire to serve his constituents as Member of Parliament.

Dr. Vitalis Mwinyuri a native of Kalsagraa, said he is contesting the NDC primaries to enable him do more for his people. He went on to revealed his efforts in the operations of AGAMAL Malaria Control Program into the area to justify his commitment to the growth in his constituency.

Dr. Mwinyuri went on to explain that, the cutout places in the constituency would be of priority to him.

He observed that electricity only dropped in some communities because the power lines run through them, hence only houses along power lines within villages had electricity connection.

Dr. Mwinyuri disclosed this to the media shortly after his vetting last Friday here in Wa. He also said portable drinking water is a challenge in some communities with damaged boreholes due to population increase.

“Some communities have water facilities but population is much denser than what it can cater. So what do we see? They are broken down” “water should not be a challenge to our people” he added.
The aspirant expressed his intentions to empower his constituents with relevant ICT skills. He raised concerns over the under usage of ICT in the area and bemoaned the state of some school in the constituency. “The JHS have computers. They don’t have electricity, so they can not use them. I am going to address this” he added.

He further suggested that people need to be enlightened with the benefits of the internet as there are several opportunities available. “you hear people saying, oh yeah internet usage in Ghana is high. I laugh at that. People are only using Facebook and WhatsApp. We need to teach people how to use ICT to benefit society”

Dr. Mwinyuri is competing with six other aspirants to represent the NDC as parliamentary candidate into the 2020 general elections in the constituency.

The Public Health expect said his slogan(Your loyal servant) said it all for what he stands for in the constituency. He explained his motivation for serving his people is the passion he has to serve them and not “just to chop post” “I always serve my people and I want to continue serving” he stated.

The incumbent MP of the area Hon. Alban S.K. Bagbin could not pick up forms to contest the party primaries though he earlier showed interest should his supporters call on him to contest to do so.

The party conducted the vetting of all aspirants last week Thursday 25th and Friday 26th July at the its regional communication Secretariat in the Regional capitalcapital.
