HAJIA ABIBATA LIGHTENS UP 7 YENDI COMMUNITIES WITH STREETLIGHTS

In a bid to improve the socio-economic activities and enhance security and visibility at night, the Deputy CEO of MASLOC, Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah has brightened up seven communities within the Yendi Municipality with streetlights.

The move is  in response to separate appeals by the Chiefs and people of the beneficiary communities to Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah as she seeks to represent the Yendi Constituency in the next parliament.

The initiative by the NPP parliamentary aspirant is not only meant to expose the people especially women and energetic youth to engage in legitimate economic activities, but has also

removed the beneficiary communities from the protracted partial darkness as a result of poor street lightening system.

The beneficiary communities included; Zugu, Adiboo, Nakpachee, Sakpegu, Pion, Bunbongnayili and Gnani which are all under the Yendi Municipality.

The chiefs and opinion leaders of the various communities who were full of joy described Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah as one most credible and trustworthy political figure who always honour her words with swift action. They believed that the streetlight would reduce the frequent motor accidents and  limit snakes and other reptile attacks at nights.

The leadership of those communities said "this is not the first time Hajia Abibata is showing signs of quality leadership or supporting communities in the entire Yendi Municipality.

The chiefs specially acknowledged the NPP parliamentary aspirant for bringing over thousand jobs to the constituency of which their communities were not left out.

They also acknowledged her recent supply of several hampers and other food items to both Muslims and Christian communities across the municipality.
