2020 Polls: We Shall Embark On Issue-Based Campaign – Upper East Minister Assured

The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Navrongo Central Constituency, Hon. Tangoba Abayage has assured that the 2020 presidential and parliamentary electioneering campaign would be based on issues and achievement. She said that she and her party would not engage in any insults, name-calling or personality attacks but would rather campaign on the party’s yet to outdoor manifesto and the unprecedented performance of the Nana Akufo-Addo’s government.

She added that the NPP as a party and herself would give the people of the constituency cogent reasons they must give their mandates to His Excellency the President Akufo-Addo and her good self for them to continue the good works they have started for the Country and the Constituency.

The Parliamentary Candidate made this announcement when she donated four-hundred pieces of dual desks to schools in the Navrongo Central Constituency.

The donation 400 dual desks is the first set of the one thousand desks she had promised to donate during her birthday this year on June 30. She said for the next six months starting from the month of July to December, 2020, she would use portion of her monthly salary to procure one hundred pieces of dual desks to make up for the one thousand promised.

Hon. Abayage, who doubles as the Upper East Regional has catalogued a good number of projects for her constituency and the region as she announced the first ever traffic light to be installed in the constituency. She stressed that the contract had been awarded and there will be a groundbreaking exercise to start work immediately.

She said one would be installed for Bawku and the Bolgatanga Municipalities.

Hon. Abayage said that the Bolgatanga-Bawku-Pulmako Road is 50% complete and the Navrongo-Naga Road had received approval from the Ministries of Finance and Roads and Highways to commence work, “I can tell you on authority that both contractors are on site working assiduously and the good news is that they also had mobilization” she added.

She assured the people of the region that the procurement process for the 20 Million Dollar Saudi Fund was on-going and the final phase of the Regional Hospital will be completed soon and be made accessible for the residents to receive quality medical care.

The Parliamentary Candidate informed the Navron-Pio, Pe Dennis Balinia Asagpare II that a Ten Million Ghana Cedis is voted to construct asphalt road for the C.K. Tedam-University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAC) and another contract would soon be awarded to construct a Modern Theatre for the Navrongo War Memorial Hospital.

She, therefore, used the occasion to advise the Party Executives and Party faithfuls to base their campaign messages on these numerous development projects to woo the minds and hearts of all prospective voters to vote massively for Nana and herself to win the December general elections.

The Paramount chief of Navrongo, Navro-Pio, Pe Dennis Balinia Asagpare II could not hide his excitement and thanked His Excellency the President for his commitment towards developments in his traditional area, and therefore, appealed to the President to give a special attention for the construction of the Modern Theatre at the Navrongo War Memorial Hospital as promised.

On the traffic- light, he commended the Regional Minister for that initiative adding that there has been too much carelessness on the roads in the constituency resulting in a lot of accidents.

Pe Balinia Asagpare II used the opportunity to appeal to the President through the Regional Minister to get a vehicle for the Awe Senior High/Technical School and the Ghana Police Service to enhance their work.
