I'll Move Ghana's Capital To B/A, Build More Universities- Akpaloo

The Presidential Candidate for the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mr. Kofi Akpaloo has said that his government would ensure the national capital of Ghana is moved from Greater Accra Region to the Brong Ahafo Region.

He said that current national capital is heavily choked and is no long fit to serve as administrative capital of Ghana.

Speaking on Atinka TV's Morning Agenda Show Tuesday, Mr. Akpaloo maintained that the Greater Accra Region would be turned into the commercial capital of Ghana whiles the new national capital serves as the administrative hub.

He indicated that the current national capital is too exposed to external aggressions. Arguing that terrorists would have to travel for quite a distance before they could attack the presidency and other key installations if the capital is moved to the Brong Ahafo Region.

The LPG Presidential Candidate said that he would build upon the free Senior High School policy, and increase it to the tertiary level.

He also assured that young people who want to go into tailoring, hairdressing, carpentry and vocational training would be given free training.

Mr. Akpaloo noted that his government would build more universities, build modern sports stadia in all the newly created regions and other regions without stadia.

He indicated that under his watch as President of Ghana, every Ghanaian child would be given monthly allowances to ameliorate their suffering.
