Why Did You Lie To NDC Supporters – Akilu Sayibu Questions Mahama Over False 2020 Victory Claim

A former Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Chief Akilu Sayibu has called out the leader of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama to explain to Ghanaians the basis for inciting his supporters to violent protests if he knew he did not win the 2020 presidential election.

According to Chief Akilu Sayibu also a member of the Northern Region Campaign Team of the NPP for election 2020, it was clear that Mr. Mahama just wanted innocent people to die for him to become president again at all cost.

 

In a statement posted on his social media handles, the Editor-in- Chief of the Voiceless Media fumed “You lied to your vulnerable supporters that you won….You tweeted and thanked Ghanaians for voting for change and you asked your supporters to go out and celebrate….Through your incitement, tyres were burnt and some died…..Then when the opportunity came for you to let Ghanaians know that you actually won you rather shifted the goal post and asking for a rerun”.

“The question is: What was the basis for your claim of victory?  What was the basis for promoting violence in the country?  It is clear….It was deliberate. You wanted innocent people to die so you will be President. This was wickedness Mr. former President Mahama.”

Meanwhile, Mr. John Dramani Mahama is in the Supreme Court to contest the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

He petitioned the Court on Wednesday 30th December, 20202 to order the Electoral Commission for a run-off of the presidential poll.

Mr. Mahama’s petition is receiving serious reactions from Ghanaians for not being consistent and sincere in his claims.
