Spanish Gov't To Partner Tourism Ministry To Train Young Ghanaian Entrepreneurs In Tourism Sector

The Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, Her Excellency Alicia Rico Perez and the Deputy Head of Missions of the Spanish Embassy to Ghana, Mr. Rafael Rodriquez-ponga Albala have paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Awal at his  office in Accra.

H.E. Alicia Rico Perez, briefing the Tourism Minister on the rationale behind her maiden visit to his office, indicated that it was to further strengthen the bond of good relationship between the Governments of Spain and the Republic of Ghana.

She emphasized that, the Spanish government intends to collaborate with the government of Ghana through the Tourism Ministry to train young Ghanaian entrepreneurs who are into tourism by empowering them economically.

This according to her, would position the young entrepreneurs in the country’s tourism sector to become globally competitive in their choice of doing business in Ghana.

Her Excellency Alicia Rico Perez, also commended Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, for the warm courtesy extended to her and the Deputy Ambassador, on their visit to his office and also used the rare privilege to commend the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his exemplary leadership in running the affairs of Ghana.

On his part, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and culture, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, expressed his unwavering commitment and that of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa’s administration to collaborate with the Spanish government to help in building the capacity of young Ghanaian entrepreneurs to be internationally competitive and economically viable.

Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal also commended the Spanish Ambassador H.E. Alicia Rico Perez and the Spanish government for expressing their willingness to empower the young Ghanaian Entrepreneurs in the tourism sector.
