The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Hajia Safia Mohammed, the 1st Deputy National Women's Organizer of the NPP as the National Coordinator for the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP).
The letter of appointment dated 18th December, 2023 signed by the Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo takes immediate effect.
It entreated the new National Coordinator to discharge her duties with superlative professionalism and ensure the success of the Programme.
The Appointment Letter reads:
"I am pleased to inform you that the President has appointed you as the National Coordinator for the Ghana School Feeding Programme.
"Your appointment is effective immediately. You are required to discharge your duties with superlative professionalism and ensure the success of the Programme.
Please accept the President's best wishes".
The letter was copied to the Vice President, the Chief of Staff, the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection and the Board Chairman of the Ghana School Feeding Programme.
Hajia Safia Mohammed who was also the Savannah Region Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme replaces the late Dr. Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah as the National Coordinator.
The position became vacant after the death of Dr. Mrs. Quashigah on the 12th November, 2023.
The appointment of Hajia Safia Mohammed has since sparked wild jubilations among Caterers and other regional coordinators who are very familiar with her and believe in her capabilities to run a successful School Feeding Programme.
