2nd Lady distances herself from 'Desperate' Obuor’s Campaign - Close source discloses

The 2nd Lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia, is allegedly expressing displeasure over some desperate aspirants exploiting her good name to gain support in the upcoming 2024 NPP parliamentary primaries.

She is said to have particularly called out Mr. Bice Osei Kuffour, popularly known as "Obuor", an aspirant in the Asante Akim South Constituency, who is reportedly using her name to making false campaign promises.

A source close to the 2nd Lady indicates that Hajia Samira Bawumia has reportedly called to caution Obuor against associating her with his campaign, emphasizing her neutral stance in the impending parliamentary primaries of the NPP.

According to the information obtained, the 2nd Lady strongly disapproves of such irresponsible campaign tactics, which has the tendency to create needless disaffection between her and other party loyalists. It would be recalled that, Obuor in a recent viral video openly pledged foreign scholarships for 10 students in the Asante Akim South constituency on behalf of the 2nd Lady, a claim vehemently denied by her. 

The promise according to the source, is a complete misrepresentation of the 2nd Lady by Obuor and his campaign.

It (the source) confirmed that the 2nd Lady maintains a neutral position, and that she values the positive relationship she has with members of the party.

The source further indicated that the 2nd Lady and her husband, the party's flagbearer, are prepared to collaborate with any candidate who emerges victorious in the primaries. 

She is said to have stressed the importance of a fair and responsible campaign process, urging aspirants to refrain from misrepresentation and unauthorized use of her name.

As this situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how aspirants will navigate the electoral landscape, bearing in mind the 2nd Lady's call for integrity and honesty in their campaigns.

Efforts to contact Mr. Bice Osei Kuffuor proved unsuccessful as his phone was constantly unreachable.
