Don’t Trust Obuor’s Employment of Asante Akyem South NPP Delegates Into GhanaPost – NPP Activists Warn Delegates

Former MUSIGA President and Parliamentary Aspirant in the Asante Akyem South Constituency, Bice Obuor Osei Kuffour’s woes keep worsening as he is exposed once again for using lies and deceits to campaign for votes in the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries in the constituency.

Despite the outright freeze on Government employment and without any financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance, Bice Osei Kuffour is promising to offer jobs to over 800 NPP delegates at GhanaPost by 30th January, 2024 in a bid to win votes.

Recent media reports suggest that the 2nd Lady, Samira Bawumia had had to refrain Obuor from using her and the husband Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s names to campaign and making juicy promises to NPP delegates in the Asante Akyem South constituency. The aspirant was captured in a recent viral video promising foreign university scholarships to 10 students in the area on behalf of Samira Bawumia.

The former MUSIGA President who has launched his renewed interest to go to Ghana’s Parliament after a failed attempt in 2020, is now on a flamboyant campaign trail making huge and unimaginable promises to party delegates.

However, his campaign activities seem to be under serious scrutiny by some delegates and party activists who have apparently assumed the responsibility of recording audios and video footages to expose the lies in Obuor’s campaign. This is due to his many unfulfilled campaign promises in 2020, and how he openly sent thugs after delegates to retrieve monies paid to them after losing the 2020 primaries.

Some of the delegates who fell victims allegedly had to run into the bush and others had to borrow money to escape the wrath of Obuor and his thugs.

This time round, the NPP parliamentary aspirant is being exposed by some elite delegates who claimed they and some of their relatives had been approached by Obuor and his campaign team attempting to deceive them with job appointments at GhanaPost immediately after the NPP primaries.

In audio messages being circulated on social media platforms, some of the party stewards believed to be supporters of the incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon. Lawyer Kwaku Asante Boateng cautioned the delegates to be vigilant with Obuor this time round in order not to fall victims of his deceptions and lies.

In one of the audios posted by one Mr. Samuel Gyamfi, an NPP Communicator, he insisted that “Obuor is calling young delegates and those whose children or relatives are seeking for job to come for interview. He is using some people to pose as official of GhanaPost to interview the delegates, and after the interview Obuor will tell them to go and come for their appointment letter on 30tht January, 2024”.

“Obuor knows that by 30th January if you are a delegate, you will be forced to vote him and after the primaries, he will not give you or your child any job”.

Mr. Samuel Gyamfi, who claimed that one of his nephews went for the so-called interview, cautioned the delegates to be vigilant about it. “Obuor has no job to offer you so be careful”.

He also alleged that Obuor had been promising to sponsor any delegate whose son or daughter wants to study at the tertiary level, if they vote for him.

Mr. Gyamfi emphasized that “Obuor is not trustworthy and that is the reason why almost all the young guys in Asante Akyem South who campaigned for Obuor in the 2020 primaries have all left him to join other camps. Obuor never answered their calls after losing the primaries and such a person cannot be trusted”.

Some of the campaign team members of Mr. Bice Obuor Osei Kuffuor also responded to the audio messages insisting that Obuor had been given personal slots to employ people into GhanaPost, and that is what he had decided to give to the delegates.

One Mr. Aning Benjamin, Communication Team member of Obuor’s campaign further insisted that there were several job opportunities at GhanaPost including security work, parcel, cleaners, drivers, door-to-door motor and bicycle deliveries, office and field works among others available for grabs due to retirement, death and resignations.

Mr. Aning who is also a  labourer at GhanaPost therefore encouraged the delegates to believe in Obuor’s promises.
